The 'North Run Cottage' was built in 2006 and is located in the heart of Black Moshannon State Park. The property is less than a mile from the lake, which features fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Hiking, cross-country skiing, snow mobeling and snowshoeing can take place right out the front door in the surrounding 43,000 acres of the Black Moshannon State Forrest. The Nittany Lion Inn, on the Penn State campus, is only 17 miles from the 'North Run Cottage'. The community of State College (aka: Happy Valley) is full of restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and many forms of entertainment, from movies and plays to sports and recreation. The main level of the cottage features a great room with a fieldstone fireplace (Quadra fire design), fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with a queen bed, sleeping loft with a queen bed and futon and a full bath (sleeps 4-6). A three quarter wrap around deck with hot tub is right outside the front door. The lower level of the cottage has a great room with propane fired heating stove. A large screen surround sound TV and kitchenette completes the great room space. One bedroom with a queen bed, pull out double couch and full bath make up the sleeping arrangements (sleeps 4) Rates for the cottage range from $150- $550 per night.
